Our services

Participation Studio provides user research, usability testing, PPIE (Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement), UX research, and related research services. Specific terms for any project are set out in a separate written agreement, proposal, or statement of work agreed between us.

These website terms govern your use of participationstudio.co.uk and general enquiries. They do not replace or override project-specific agreements.

Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not use it in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation, is fraudulent, or causes harm to others.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this website or its underlying systems.

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Dual Perspective Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this site without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial reference.

Deliverables produced under a client project are subject to the intellectual property terms in your project agreement.

Project engagements

For clients engaging us for research services, the following general principles apply unless otherwise agreed in writing:

Proposals and quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Acceptance of a proposal constitutes agreement to proceed on the terms stated.

Payment terms are set out in individual proposals. We typically invoice 50% on project commencement and 50% on completion of deliverables, unless agreed otherwise.

Confidentiality: We treat all client project information as confidential. We do not share project details, findings, or client identity without permission.

Cancellation: If you cancel a confirmed project, reasonable costs already incurred (including participant recruitment and incentives already committed) are payable. We will always be transparent about what has been spent.

Data and deliverables: Research data, recordings, and reports are provided to clients for their agreed purposes. Intellectual property in methodologies and approaches remains with Dual Perspective Limited.

The Collective: research participant community

The Collective is our research participant community, operated as part of participationstudio.co.uk. By registering for The Collective, you additionally agree to the following:

Membership: Membership of The Collective is free and open to individuals aged 18 and over based in the United Kingdom. We reserve the right to decline or remove membership where we have reasonable grounds to do so, for example in cases of misuse or provision of false information.

Participation in research: Joining The Collective does not obligate you to take part in any research study. Participation in individual studies is always voluntary. You may decline any opportunity and withdraw from a session at any time.

Eligibility and screening: Suitability for individual studies is assessed through screening questions. Meeting the basic membership criteria does not guarantee selection for any particular study.

Incentives: Where a study offers a financial incentive (typically Amazon gift vouchers), this will be confirmed before you commit to taking part. Incentives are conditional on completing the session as agreed. We reserve the right to withhold incentives where participation obligations have not been met.

Conduct: You agree to engage in research sessions honestly and in good faith, to attend confirmed sessions punctually, and to notify us promptly if you are unable to attend.

Account closure: You may close your Collective account at any time. On closure, your identifiable personal data will be anonymised within 30 days. See the The Collective Privacy Policy for full details of how your data is handled.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the last revision. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
