1. Who we are

2. Eligibility

To join The Collective you must:

• Be aged 18 or over
• Be based in the United Kingdom
• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering

By completing registration you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone. If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation, contact us immediately at [email protected].

You may only hold one account. Creating duplicate accounts may result in removal from The Collective.

4. Opportunity notifications

As part of your membership, we will contact you by email when a research opportunity is a good match for your profile. This is the core service The Collective provides. We are not a mailing list or marketing service; we only contact you about relevant, paid research opportunities.

You can pause these notifications at any time by unsubscribing via the link in any email, or by updating your preference in your dashboard. Pausing notifications does not close your account and does not prevent you from viewing and applying for open opportunities directly through your dashboard.

5. Participating in research

Membership of The Collective does not guarantee selection for any particular research study. Individual studies have their own eligibility criteria and capacity limits.

Participation in any study is entirely voluntary. You may decline any opportunity without affecting your membership or future invitations.

Once you have confirmed your place in a study, we ask that you:

• Attend or connect at the agreed time
• Notify us as early as possible if you are unable to attend
• Engage honestly and in good faith throughout the session

You may withdraw from a session at any time without giving a reason. This is your right and will not affect your future membership.

6. Incentives and payments

Where a study offers a financial incentive, this will be clearly stated before you commit to taking part. Incentives are typically Amazon or Love2Shop gift vouchers sent to your registered email address after a session is completed.

Incentives are conditional on completing the session as agreed. We reserve the right to withhold or reclaim an incentive where:

• You provided false or misleading information during screening
• You did not attend a confirmed session without reasonable notice
• You did not engage in good faith during the session

We are not responsible for issues with third-party gift voucher delivery once sent to the email address on your account. If you experience problems receiving a voucher, contact us and we will investigate.

7. Accuracy of your profile

The information you provide in your profile is used to match you to suitable research opportunities. It is important that it is accurate and kept up to date. Providing false information, particularly in relation to eligibility criteria, may result in removal from The Collective.

You can update your profile information at any time through your dashboard.

8. Conduct

You agree not to use The Collective in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to others. This includes but is not limited to: creating fake accounts, attempting to manipulate screening processes, or harassing Participation Studio staff or researchers.

9. Our right to suspend or remove membership

We reserve the right to suspend or remove your membership if:

• You breach these terms
• You provide false or misleading information
• We have reasonable grounds to believe your account is being misused

Where possible, we will contact you before taking action.

10. Closing your account

You may close your account at any time via your dashboard or by contacting us at [email protected]. On account closure, your identifiable personal data will be anonymised within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

11. Limitation of liability

Participation in research studies is voluntary and carried out in good faith. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dual Perspective Limited excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from your participation in research studies facilitated through The Collective.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice on The Collective pages. Continued use of The Collective after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
