London focus groups
Paid focus groups
and market research in London.
Sit round a table (or a video call) with a handful of other Londoners, talk honestly about a product, a service or an idea, and get paid for the evening. Groups run online from home or at venues in central London. Amazon or Love2Shop vouchers, sent within days.
What a London focus group is actually like
A focus group is a guided conversation between a small group of people, usually four to eight, and a researcher whose job is to listen. You might be shown a new app, a draft advert, a redesigned bill or a plan for a local service, and asked what you make of it. Nobody is testing you. The point is to hear how real people react.
In-person groups in London tend to happen on weekday evenings at research venues in central London, close to the Tube. Online groups run on a video call and you only need a laptop or phone, a quiet room and a decent connection. Either way the invitation tells you the date, time, place and payment before you commit.
Some groups are a one-off session. Others ask you back for a follow-up, or pair the group with a short survey or a few days of diary entries, which pays more. You will always know the full shape of a study up front.

There are no right answers. A blunt “I wouldn’t use that” is more useful to a researcher than polite agreement.
Home or central London
Plenty of groups run online, so Bexley and Barnet get the same chance as Zone 1. In-person venues are always named in the invite.

Who is asking, and what about
London has more organisations commissioning research than anywhere else in the UK, so the topics vary a lot from one week to the next. Typical examples of what we recruit for:
- A bank checking whether a new savings feature makes sense to people who rarely save
- An NHS trust asking patients how outpatient letters and appointment reminders land
- A council testing plans for parking, bins or a high street redesign with local residents
- A retailer or food brand trying out packaging, prices or a new product range
- A charity making sure a campaign speaks to the people it is meant for
Some studies look for a particular group, such as renters, parents of young children, people who commute by bike or people managing a long-term condition. Filling in your profile properly is the best way to get invited to the ones that fit you.
| Study type | Typical length | Payment |
